Brightwood is a micro-neighborhood within the larger community of Stonebridge in McKinney Texas. It’s home to about 100 homes that were built between 2003 and 2005. Access is just off of N. Stonebridge Dr. with two entrances to the north and to the east. Most homes are between three and four bedrooms and three and four bathrooms in sizes from 2500 ft.² to just over 4000 ft.². Prices are between $350,000 and $550,000 with homeowners dues approximately $65-$80 per month. Most of the lots are around 10,000 ft.². Homeowners fees cover all common area maintenance, a community swimming pool, parks and playgrounds, tennis courts, and management fees. All homes have either a two or three car garage. This is a non-gated community but it’s also only accessible by N. Stonebridge Dr. and is usually not a throughway neighborhood. Traffic is typically residents and their guests.
Residents in Brightwood are part of the McKinney Independent School District and are served by the Wilmeth elementary school, the Jack Cockrill middle school, and the McKinney high school. These schools have excellent ratings and the elementary school is less than a half a mile from the community. The middle schools about 2 1/2 miles and the high school is just over 4 miles from Brightwood.
At the corner of N. Stonebridge Dr. and Virginia Parkway are several services such as Tom Thumb grocery, shops, restaurants, and the Villas that Stonebridge Ranch as well as the UPS store.
To the north is the Parks and Recreation as well as open space with trails and recreational facilities. Just up N. Strongbridge Dr. are several clinics, restaurants, banks and other services and the La Cima Park and Lake is on the corner of W. University Dr. and Stonebridge, just seconds from Brightwood.
